Day 1 | Ulaanbaatar City

Welcome to Mongolia-the Country of Eternal Blue Sky and land of Nomads. Upon your arrival at Chinggis Khaan Airport, Laguna Stella's team will be waiting for you. We will take you to your hotel centrally located in downtown Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy some walking chill-out (depending on your arrival timing) to Sukhbaatar Square and Monument of Chinggis Khaan.

Day 2 | Khugnu Khan National Park

Feel the natural silence and take the smell of herbals out there. After breakfast, we drive out of the city and head to the west. The driving would take some 3-4 hours with spectacular view of Mongolian grassland. The Khugn Khan National Park is very famous among travelers and locals for its natural formations and sand dune. There you can really feel the undoubted silence of nature land take wider breath. Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight in your Mongolian yurt, the "Ger Camp".

Day 3 | Erdene Zuu Monastery & Kharakorum

Excursion to Erdene Zuu Monastery and the ruins of Karakorum, capital of Mongol Empire, the largest contiguous empire in history. Enclosed by a quadrilateral of imposing walls surmounted by 108 white Tibetan chortens,it was one of the greatest centers of Lamaist Buddhist thought outside of Tibet. Erected in 16th century, the most ancient of the Mongolian monasteries housed inside the city walls one hundred temples that were largely destroyed in the 1930s. Few buildings are survivors of this destruction, however within them some of the highest ones are preserved masterpieces of the Lamaist art. You can attend the Buddhist ceremony of Lamaist monks in the main Erdene Zuu monastery. Continuation and visit of the ruins of Karakorum.

Day 4 | Lake Terkhi and Khorgo Volcano

Explore Khorgo volcano, an extinct one, since ancient times while having joyful hiking through grasslands shortly before discovering Lake Tekrhi (also known asLake Terkhiin Tsagaan) in the nearby. An immense mass of white-hot lava once blocked the bed of the River Terkh and it is water formed Lake Terkhi, which is 16 kilometers in length, 20 meters in depth, and 61 square kilometers in this area. It is situated at an altitude of 2.060 meters. River Suman, cascading from the lake in stormy torrents, pierced through the rocks to form a canyon and several small lakes. Opportunities for having horseback trekking and hiking in the wildness of Mongolian central sphere.

Day 5 | “Khangai” Pass up to the North

Continue the journey even far to the north where we meet Lake Khuvsgul and its picturesque nature. Grasp a glimpse of Mongolian nomadic life style along with great nature while heading to the north on a long driving excursion today. Upon reaching your traditional ger camp, take rest and enjoy the meal served in Mongolian style.

Day 6 | Lake Khuvsgul

Overland driving is part of your journey, pack and continue your trip to complete by late afternoon once you reach beautiful Lake Khuvsgul areas. On the way, have some stops in the nature and feel the emptiness of Mongolian khangai range with your inner spirituality! There will be great deal of time for hiking in the surrounding hills, swimming in the lake, or just gazing out over the vast blue expanse of water. The landscape and natural formation of Lake Khuvsgul is your must see destination in Mongolia as well as some distinct advantages of the area would give a lot more to get closer in your self-esteem.

Day 7 | Excursion Day

Boating, hiking, or horse riding, the leisure is yours! After morning chill-out, we go for hiking around the beautiful lake followed by a boating excursion. The region is also home to Mongolian ethnic group Reindeer Herders (also known as Tsaatans) who have been living in taiga mountains around Lake Khuvsgul for centuries. They breed reindeers and live in their own unique yurts. During your discovery around Lake Khuvsgul, we will also have opportunity to meet this ethnic families camping near the lake shores and take some memorable photos. We also offer you have discovering wild nature on Mongolian horseback which is something must-do in Lake Khuvsgul region. ​

Day 8 | Ulaanbaatar city

Today we take a late afternoon flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Once we check-in to our hotel, the time is for your leisure. You can have some walking around the city center and have some chill-out.

Day 9 | Ulaanbaatar discovery

Today we will visit Zanabazar Fine Arts Museum which is rich in Mongolian traditional art painting and a lot more cultural insights. After that, we also visit Mongolian State Department store and Gobi/Goyo Cashmere. Mongolian is well known for its fine and quality cashmere products. In the evening we will attend to Tumen Ekh Folklore Concert which famous for its wide variety of dance and singing performances as blessings to your journey. We will have a farewell dinner at one of Mongolia's prestigious restaurant.

Day 10 | Departure

Your driver and Trip Leader/Guide will take you to the Airport for your departure.
